Keep the Lawn Alive - a few notes on live lawn

A previous post focused on artificial lawn and the benefits of investing in a long term, low maintenance solution for a green space. It is now time to focus on the live lawn and a few things you can consider if you prefer to keep things “natural”.

Due to the materials it is made from, artificial grass stays pest-free - this means no worms or insects either. Natural grass, however, provides the perfect environment for bugs that could benefit the rest of your garden too. But they can also attract and invite pests which you need to spend time, effort, money to keep them at bay.

The styles and types on lawn is not only true for artificial lawn but the same goes for live lawn. The style and type of area will determine the type of lawn we would recommend you grow. Some work really well in shaded areas, others might need more water or more regularly mowing. We will help select the best species for your property and specific climate.

Live lawn is naturally much cooler. Some artificial lawns can get a bit warmer due to the material they are made of so if you have pets or children, best to discuss the quality and type of artificial lawn to install.

Another thing to take into consideration is the installation. We always prefer installing an irrigation system along with planting pre-grown strips of lawn, giving you instant cover as well as easier maintenance.

Whether you decide on artificial or live lawn, we will always discuss the pro’s and cons of all your options to make sure you make an informed decision that suits your lifestyle and long term requirements.
