Gardens that blush

When we think of gardens in arid regions, we often think of gardens in monotone; greens, whites and maybe some browns. There are, however, so many options to add colour to your outdoor space with easy to care for plants.

In this post, we feature on a few options in shades of pinks and purple to brighten your garden.

Bougainvilleas:

This is a firm favourite as a tough, water-wise plant that will add loads of bright, happy tones to a green space. Colours vary from from light pinks to bright magenta and even tones of orange. They are easy to care for and are incredibly hardy. They work well when planted next to a wall and look particularly inviting with an archway or window. You can’t go wrong with these beauties.

Rhoeo discolor tricolor:

Also known as Rhoeo Oyster is another elegant option to consider. They are beautiful, low maintenance plant and features brightly coloured leaves arranged in a rosette shape. Leaves are green with purple, pink, and white striping. Very striking. They prefer partial shade to full shade, making them ideal for ground cover under larger trees.

TOP TIP:

Rhoeo plants grow very well as houseplants too. Adding pops of modern colour and greenery to your home, inside and out.
